Outage procedures
- If you experience an outage, please check with your neighbors to see if their electricity is off.
- Then check your breakers or fuses.
- If you still have a problem, please call Guthrie County REC at 641.747.2206 or 888.747.2206. Have your map location number ready to give to the office or the after-hours dispatch service.
PLEASE NOTE: Does someone in your family depend on electronic life support equipment? If so, they can be placed on our Emergency Medical Registry and will be given priority, if possible, when an outage occurs. A physician's statement is required. People who depend on a life-support system should have a back-up power source.
