First
Call
Living alone can be an uneasy situation, especially when you are elderly or
have experienced medical problems. With the installation of a FirstCall medical
monitoring service, you or your loved ones can enjoy peace of mind knowing
that someone is available to help at the push of a button.
HOW FIRSTCALL WORKS
- The FirstCall service is connected to a home or apartment through a
telephone and waterproof transmitter worn on the wrist or around the neck
- A
touch of the button on the personal transmitter or telephone automatically
alerts the FirstCall monitoring headquarters of a potential problem
- Two-way
voice communication available to talk directly with responder during the
emergency
- If the FirstCall telephone system is inactive for a programmed period
of time (12, 18 or 24 hours), the telephone sends an alarm to the monitoring
center
- By pushing the “away” button, activity monitoring can be
temporarily disabled.
- The FirstCall telephone beeps at programmed times to
remind the user of appointments, medication times, etc.
- A rechargeable backup
battery protects against short-term power failure for
up to six hours.
Contact your Guthrie Co. REC office if you or a loved one is
