Outage Procedure

1. If you experience an outage, please check with your neighbors to see if their electricity is off.
2. Then, check your breakers or fuses.
3. If you still have a problem, please call Guthrie County REC at 641.747.2206 or 888.747.2206. Have your map location number ready to give to the office or the after-hours dispatch service.

Please inform us if someone in your family depends on electronic life support equipment. They will be placed on our Emergency Medical Registry and will be given priority, if possible, when an outage occurs. A physician's statement is required. People who depend on a life-support system should have a back-up power source.
