Power Supply

Guthrie County REC purchases the power it distributes from Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. CIPCO also is organized as a nonprofit cooperative created for the purpose of generating and transmitting electricity to its 12 member cooperatives and one municipal member.
